An Attachment-Led Approach to Baby Sleep
I’m a former Child & Maternal Health Nurse with over 10 years of nursing experience, and a mother of three. I’ve supported hundreds of families - and I’ve also lived the reality of postpartum anxiety, nervous system overwhelm, and the pressure to “fix” sleep at all costs.
I don’t see baby sleep as a behaviour to be trained out.
I see it as biology, communication, and nervous system development.
Babies are wired for connection. Sleep improves when safety, rhythm, and regulation are supported - not when cues are ignored. That’s why my approach is attachment-based, responsive, and deeply respectful of both baby and mother. I will never offer extinction (cry it out) or modified extinction (ferber method) in my plans.

A Little About MeÂ
I’m a mum of three and a former Child and Maternal Nurse, with over a decade of experience supporting women and babies during some of the most vulnerable seasons of life.
After my second baby, I found myself quietly unraveling. I did everything the mainstream system recommended - talk therapy, CBT, lifestyle changes, all the “shoulds.” In a desperate attempt to regain control and feel like myself again, I even sleep trained my baby. It gave me structure, but it never gave me the peace I was searching for.
Real healing began when I stopped trying to fix myself and started listening to my body. Through nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and reconnecting with my inner world, things slowly began to shift. And as I healed, I started to notice the same patterns in the mothers I worked with - women doing everything “right,” yet feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, and lost inside motherhood, carrying stories no one ever taught them how to hold.
I also began to see how deeply misunderstood baby sleep had become. So often, we ask babies to adapt to adult expectations, instead of working with their biology, their attachment needs, and their natural rhythms. There are gentle, practical ways to support better sleep - but they don’t start with training a baby. They start with supporting the mother.
Today, my work brings these two worlds together: responsive, attachment-led baby sleep support and deep maternal nervous system healing. Because when a woman feels safe in her body, connected to herself, and supported in who she’s becoming - her baby, her home, and her whole family begin to soften too.
